400W motor · 180 kg maximum load · 20 to 25 km range · 10 inch pneumatic tyres · 3-level adjustable headrest · GST free
The SectorCare Cruise Mobility Scooter 400W 180kg Red is built for users who travel further and spend longer in the seat than a compact travel scooter is designed to support. A 400W motor paired with a 24V 90A controller and a 24V 20Ah battery delivers a driving range of 20 to 25 km per charge at speeds up to 10 km/h, while a high-strength steel frame carries a maximum load of 180 kg.
Ride quality is where this model separates from the rest of the range. Wide 10 inch pneumatic tyres and front suspension absorb impact across footpaths, kerb ramps, gravel and grass, providing noticeably greater comfort and traction than the solid tyres fitted to smaller scooters. Being pneumatic, they require occasional pressure checks and can be punctured, in exchange for a considerably smoother ride. Rider support comes from a 360° rotating seat with height adjustment, flip-up armrests, and a three-position adjustable headrest for extended journeys.
Assembled, the Cruise measures 125 cm in length, 52 cm in width and 115 cm to the top of the headrest, with a 43 x 42 cm seat. The tiller and seat fold to reduce the height to 37 cm, which suits garage and shed storage. Note that folding does not reduce the footprint: the scooter remains 125 cm long and 52 cm wide, and at 65 kg with the battery fitted it is not intended to be lifted into a vehicle. Owners who need to transport it should plan for a ramp, a hoist or a trailer.
An ABS electromagnetic braking system engages automatically the moment the throttle is released, holding the scooter securely on slopes. A key-start control panel presents the battery gauge, speed dial, horn, hazard light and headlight in a straightforward layout, and a freewheel lever allows a carer to reposition the scooter with the power off.
With a 400W motor, 24V 20Ah battery, 20 to 25 km driving range, 180 kg maximum load capacity, 10 inch pneumatic tyres, front suspension and a 360° rotating seat with adjustable headrest, the SectorCare Cruise Mobility Scooter - Red is the most capable model in the range. Measuring 125 x 52 x 115 cm and weighing 52.9 kg without its battery, it is designed for users who prioritise range, comfort and terrain capability over portability, and it is supplied GST free across Australia.
How far will it travel on one charge?
Between 20 and 25 km, powered by a 24V 20Ah lead acid battery. This is the longest range in the SectorCare scooter range. Actual distance varies with rider weight, terrain, temperature and battery age.
Can I put it in my car?
Not practically. Folding lowers the height from 115 cm to 37 cm, but the scooter remains 125 cm long and 52 cm wide and weighs 65 kg with the battery. It is intended for storage rather than vehicle transport. If you need to move it by vehicle, plan for a ramp, hoist or trailer. For a scooter designed to travel by car, look at the Urban or Compact Pro models.
What is the maximum rider weight?
180 kg, on a high-strength steel frame with a 43 x 42 cm seat.
Are the tyres puncture proof?
No. This model uses 10 inch pneumatic tyres, which give a smoother ride and better traction than solid tyres but can be punctured and need occasional pressure checks. The Urban and Compact Pro models use solid PU tyres if puncture resistance is your priority.
What terrain can it handle?
The 400W motor with a 24V 90A controller manages everyday slopes and inclines. Pneumatic tyres and front suspension suit footpaths, gravel, grass and kerb ramps.
Is there a headrest?
Yes, adjustable to three positions, which makes a real difference on longer journeys.
Can someone push it if the power is off?
Yes. A freewheel lever disengages the drive for manual repositioning.
Is this product GST free?
Yes, supplied GST free in Australia.
